Tasting advice:
To be served cool with poultry, charcuterie or barbecued grills. . To drink now or in 2-3 years.
Location:
At Puy l'Evêque, in the Clos Triguedina vineyard to the west of Cahors, in the heart of the Appellation region.
Soil:
Silicious clay.
Grape Variety:
100 % Malbec. . Single Guyot pruning. 5,000 plants per hectare.
In the vineyard:
Traditional growing methods; soil ploughed; supervised control; severe pruning; removal of unwanted new shoots; thinning out of the grape bunches and of the leaves.
Vinification:
Rosé produced by bleeding method. Vinified at a low temperature. Aged for six months in vats, then bottled.on the estate.
Comments:
- Colour: An attractive pronounced pink.
- Nose: Fruity, typical Malbec, crystalised raspberries and strawberries, and spices, with a little touch of aniseed.
- In the mouth: supple, rounded and very fruity at first, with a long finish. Good "nervosité".
- Laying down: Will keep for: 2 to 3 years.
