A PLEASING WINE

Tasting advice:
- May be drunk now (if decanted 15-30 minutes beforehand), or will keep.
- If drunk young, it goes well with charcuterie, barbecued grills and young cheeses.
- When older, it is best with red meats (steaks, beef, venison) and with duck.

Location:
On the most beautiful second terraces of the Cahors wine region, within the commune of Puy-l'Evêque, as well as vines on the limestone plateau of Floressas.

Soil:
Clay-and-limestone

Grape varieties:
80% Malbec, 20% Merlot. Single Guyot pruning . 6,000 plants per hectare.

In the vineyard:
Traditional growing methods; soil ploughed; supervised control; severe pruning; removal of unwanted new shoots; thinning out of the grape bunches and of the leaves.

Vinification:
Traditional. Destalking. Fermentation for 20 days to temperature of about 29°. Partially aged in second-year barrels.

Comments:
- Colour: Deep red, bright and limpid.
- Nose: Progressively shows notes of red fruit, with a slight touch of liquorice.
- In the mouth: Round and beautifully balanced, giving real pleasure. A delightfully harmonious wine
